We're out at the Old Alcohol Plant Inn in Port Hadlock, working alongside a great partner to open up the property and clear out years of overgrowth. This is the kind of site where the bones are already there - waterfront views, established trees, solid structure - but the surrounding vegetation had gotten thick enough to compete with all of it.
Our forestry mulching work here is focused on creating usable open space without tearing up the landscape. That's the thing about mulching versus traditional clearing - we're not hauling debris out or leaving bare dirt behind. The material gets processed right on site, which keeps the ground stable and cuts down on overall disruption. For a working inn with guests coming and going, that matters.
A lot of commercial property owners deal with the same problem. Overgrowth creeps in gradually, and before long it's blocking views, crowding structures, and making areas of the property feel unusable. Getting ahead of it - and doing it the right way - opens up options for what comes next, whether that's new landscaping, expanded parking, better sightlines, or just a cleaner overall appearance.
The waterfront setting here makes the work especially rewarding. Clearing the right vegetation in the right places doesn't just clean things up - it actually unlocks what the property has going for it. The marina views speak for themselves once the clutter is gone. If you're ever passing through the area, the Old Alcohol Plant Inn is genuinely worth a stop.
This is exactly the type of work we do for commercial and private properties across the region. Whether it's brush clearing, forestry mulching, or full lot reclamation, the goal is always the same - leave the property better than we found it, with a clear path forward for whatever comes next.
