This Olalla property had a solid lawn area, but a thick wall of overgrown brush had taken over the edges - cutting off access to the rear of the land entirely. Blackberries, shrubs, and tangled growth had built up to the point where getting back there just wasn't realistic without serious clearing work.
We brought in our Kubota with a forestry mulching head to handle it. That combination is well-suited for this kind of work - tight spaces, dense brush, uneven terrain. The mulching head chews through vegetation and leaves the material right on the ground as a fine layer of chips. No hauling, no burning, no mess left behind.
Two things needed to happen here. First, we pushed back the brush line along the existing lawn to create cleaner, defined edges between the maintained grass and the treeline. Second, we cut in walking trails through the wooded section so the owner can actually move through the back of the property without fighting through brush every step of the way.
That's really what access clearing is about - making land usable again. A lot of property owners out here in the South Kitsap area have acreage they can't even walk without getting scratched up or turned around. A well-cut trail changes that fast. It also makes things like fire prep, property maintenance, and just general enjoyment a lot more practical.
The finished result here was cleaner lawn edges and a clear path running back through the trees. Nothing fancy - just solid work that makes the property function the way it should.
